‘A Passenger to Rey’ to depart ifilm

ifilm has scheduled to air ‘A Passenger to Rey’ miniseries finale on Friday evening.

Directed by Davoud Mir-Baqeri, the 5-episode period drama will wrap up on Friday May 03 at 21:00 GMT. It is also set to repeat three times on Saturday at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00 all GMT times.

The series chronicles the story of Abdol-Azim Hassani, a trusted companion of Imam Hadi (AS). During the reign of the Abbasid caliph, Mutawakkil, Imam Hadi (AS) sent Abdol-Azim to the Iranian city of Rey to unite the Shias and bring an end to the discord among them.

Thus, he begins his journey from Iraq to Rey and along the way; he meets different people with different thoughts and beliefs.

This great religious scholar’s shrine rests in the Iranian city of Rey which is among one of the country’s most notable holy sites.

A great number of popular Iranian actors performed roles in the flick, including Daryoush Arjmand, Vishka Asayesh, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Zhaleh Olov, Jamshid Hashempour, Setareh Eskandari, Sirous Gorjestani, Hadis Fouladvand and Parvaneh Masoumi.

'A Passenger to Rey' will be replaced with a brand-new series titled ‘Father’ directed by Behrang Tofiqi as of Saturday.
